A look back at some of the Fulcrum’s best photos of the year

ANOTHER SCHOOL YEAR has come and gone, and so, too, has another publishing year with it. The past eight months have provided more than enough newsworthy photographic subjects—so many, in fact, that the Fulcrum has these never-before-published photos to show for it. They may not have made it to print the first time around, but these incredible photos are getting a second chance to see the light of day.

alt text “Spiked down,” Dec. 3: Setter Tess Edwards leaps for the ball during the Gee-Gees’ tough loss to the McMaster Marauders on Nov. 28.

alt text “Not ready to call it quits,” Oct. 22: John Curry, seen here at his home, fought to keep his unique business of selling rare books and other texts alive amid slumping sales.

alt text “‘The party is over, it’s time to sober up,’” Nov. 26: Environmentalist David Suzuki gestures at the podium as he implores students to wake up and go green.

alt text “Rick Mercer returns to Ottawa,” March 18: Rick Mercer gets his DNA swabbed by a student during his visit to congratulate U of O students on their fundraising in support of the Spread the Net campaign.
